Ceph: Unable to rename large S3 object.
Issue
Unable to rename large S3 object. The following was reported to Red Hat after an application was failing to rename S3 objects.
After an upgraded from RHCS 4.3 to RHCS 5.3 we are unable to rename large object files.
- For
AWS CLI: Only objects less than 8 MiB can be renamed - For
s3cmd: Only objects less than 1 GiB can be renamed
It was determined that the issue occurs when Assumed Roles are in use.
