Why does /etc/ceph/ceph.conf contain only one mon_host entry?

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • In a Red Hat Ceph Storage 5.3 cluster with multiple Monitor (MON) nodes, only one mon_host is listed in the /etc/ceph/ceph.conf configuration on each node.
  • Why are all MON nodes not listed?

    [user@mgmt ~]$ cat /etc/ceph/ceph.conf
    # minimal ceph.conf for a722c732-0c4a-4e72-925b-17832de820b7
    [global]
        fsid = a722c732-0c4a-4e72-925b-17832de820b7
        mon_host = [v2:198.51.100.21:3300/0,v1:198.51.100.21:6789/0]

Environment
