RHACS cannot be deployed on host with Intel(R) Xeon(R) Platinum 8168 CPU

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • Installation of RHACS failing on below error:
The migrator failed with an 'Illegal Instruction' error. This can mean either of the following:
 - You are running this application on a CPU that is too old.
A CPU from 2011 or later (Intel SandyBridge/AMD BullDozer or above) is required.
 - Your hypervisor is not configured to propagate all CPU features to the guest VM. Please make sure
that at least the SSE4.2 and CLMUL instruction sets are available to the guest VM. You can see the
supported features, as seen from within this VM, in the above output ('flags'). Please refer to
your hypervisor documentation on how to change the propagation of features.
