Deny assignment error when trying to delete Azure disk

Issue

  • When trying to delete an Azure volume that is or has been associated with an ARO cluster, the following error is observed:

    Failed to delete disk '<DISK-RESOURCE-ID>'. Error: The client '<USER-ID>' with object id '<OBJECT-ID>' has 
permission to perform action 'Microsoft.Compute/disks/delete' on scope '<RESOURCE-ID>'; however, the access is 
denied because of the deny assignment with name '<ASSIGNMENT-NAME>' and Id '<ID>' at scope '<RESOURCE-GROUP>'.
