How does Linux detect a TCP wrapped sequence number without TCP Timestamps?
Issue
- How does Linux detect a TCP wrapped sequence number without TCP Timestamps?
- If I disable TCP Timestamps so there is now PAWS (Protection Against Wrapped Sequence) how do I tell whether a wrap has caused a problem?
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux
- TCP (Transmission Control Protocol) network transport
- TCP Timestamps disabled (
sysctl net.ipv4.tcp_timestamps = 0)
