Why does my RHV VM fail to start? ("Unable to access credentials")

Issue

  • Trying to restart my RHV VM, and it is failing.
  • In /var/log/ovirt-engine/engine.log, we see:
2022-11-26 19:27:47,602+03 ERROR [org.ovirt.engine.core.dal.dbbroker.auditloghandling.AuditLogDirector] (ForkJoinPool-1-worker-29) [76f32396] EVENT_ID: VM_DOWN_ERROR(119), VM <vmname> is down with error. Exit message: internal error: process exited while connecting to monitor: 2022-11-26T16:27:36.595968Z qemu-kvm: Unable to access credentials /etc/pki/vdsm/libvirt-vnc/ca-cert.pem: Permission denied.
