ip-reconciler is removing IPs when the interface is not prefixed with 'net' in Red Hat OpenShift 4

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • IP conflict when the multus secondary interface name is without the 'net' prefix.
  • The IP addresses assigned to interfaces without the 'net' prefix are cleaned up from IPPools by the ip-reconciler job, and it will be assigned to another pod, causing ip conflict.
  • Is there a way to disable the ip-reconciler cronjob in the multus namespace?

Environment

  • Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (RHOCP)
    • 4.10
    • 4.11
    • 4.12
