RHV fails to delete a snapshot due to incorrect image chain
Issue
- When performing a VM backup, the snapshot delete operation fails.
- In
vdsm.logwe can see that it fails because a volume is not present in the backing file chain:
internal error: unable to execute QEMU command 'block-commit': 'libvirt-3-format' is not in this backing file chain
Environment
- Red Hat Virtualization (RHV) 4.4 SP1
- ovirt-engine-4.5.2.5-0.2.el8ev.noarch
- vdsm-4.50.2.2-1.el8ev.x86_64
- vProtect backup software
