Is it possible to recover from a unsupported OpenShift candidate release?

Issue

• Is it supported to be on the latest candidate release version for ex: 4.10.36 with candidate-4.10 channel?
• Is it possible to switch to the fast channel from the latest Z stream release on the candidate channel?
• How to recover from the unsupported candidate channel to the supported fast/stable channel?
• Upgrade failed when the channel has been mistakenly changed from stable-4.10 to candidate-4.10.
