Quarkus Mongodb authentication issue with default mechanism

Issue

  • I am trying to connect to a mongodb instance and there is authentication issue. The configuration is as follows
quarkus.mongodb.connection-string = mongodb://localhost:27017
quarkus.mongodb.credentials.username=root
quarkus.mongodb.credentials.password=1234
quarkus.mongodb.database=mytest

The mongo is running from a docker-compose as follows

version: '3.9'
services:
  mongodb:
    image: mongo:3
    platform: linux/x86_64

    ports:
      - 27017:27017
    volumes:
      - ~/apps/mongo1:/data/db
    environment:
     - MONGO_INITDB_ROOT_USERNAME=root
     - MONGO_INITDB_ROOT_PASSWORD=1234

    • 2.7.5
