Automounter Fails to Mount ISO File – Error dev_ioctl_send_fail and Empty Mount Point Observed

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • After configuring the automounter to mount a local ISO file using /etc/auto.master and /etc/auto.nas, the mount point /mnt/cen5 appears, but the directory remains empty. Logs from autofs service show mounting failure with dev_ioctl_send_fail and failed to mount /mnt/cen5.
