How to connect RHEL clients behind capsule/satellite to Red Hat Insights?

Issue

This is my setup:

[client] <-> [capsule] <-> [satellite] <-> [internet]
  • With RHEL clients behind a capsule, is also RH insights using this chain for data connection?
[client] <-> [capsule] <-> [satellite] <-> [internet connected RH insights]

..or is the capsule skipped in the communication, and the clients need to directly talk with the satellite?

  • Plain Satellit6 does already allow clients connected to that Satellite to use RH insights. The 'cloud connector' is then only providing additionally the 'remedy' button to fix the issues found by RH insights.

  • Anything special required on capsules to enable clients behind that capsule to use RH insights? I do not see it mentioned in the capsule docs.
