After upgrading KVM host to RHEL 8.6, the VMs are not starting when using LVM-backed file device

Upgraded a KVM host to RHEL 8.6 and when trying to start the guest there is an error:
# virsh start <vm_name> error: Failed to start domain '<vm_name>' error: internal error: process exited while connecting to monitor: 2022-07-13T02:13:29.730340Z qemu-kvm: -blockdev {"driver":"file","filename":"/dev/nvme1/vm_name","node-name":"libvirt-4-storage","auto-read-only":true,"discard":"unmap"}: 'file' driver requires '/dev/nvme1/vm_name' to be a regular file
