Red Hat Directory Server produces warning messages when chaining is used

Issue

  • When using chaining (for example, DBLink) in a Directory Server cluster, binding as a remote user results in warning messages in /var/log/dirsrv/slapd-instance/errors:
[date/timestamp] - WARN - update_pw_encoding - Could not read password attribute on 'uid=remote_user,dc=example,dc=com'
