  • There is lock contention on a GFS or GFS2 filesystem after a backup was taken.
  • A GFS or GFS2 filesystem appears to hung after a backup is taken or a filesystem was unfrozen.
  • There is lock contention on a GFS filesystem after gfs_tool unfreeze <fs> failed to unfreeze.
  • There is lock contention on a GFS2 filesystem after gfs2_tool unfreeze <fs> failed to unfreeze.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server 5 (with the High Availability and Resilient Storage Add Ons)
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server 6 (with the High Availability and Resilient Storage Add Ons)
  • GFS or GFS2 filesystem has been frozen
