GPT Enquiry

Issue

A few questions surrounding GPT:

1) Is GPT is officially supported on Redhat 6.4 64 bit enterprise and if it is recommended to use to bypass the msdos partition 2TB limitation (reliable and stable?).

If it is not recommended (not stable etc…) then what is the suggested solution to handle this?

2) If it is recommended to use parted/GPT, are there instructions on how to configure it? Take into account that the raid shows disk bigger than 2TB which is also contains the OS files so we can’t marked it as GPT without destroying the OS.
