Image pull fails with unauthorized to access repository in OpenShift 4

Issue

  • After configuring the image pull secret as described in Updating the global cluster pull secret, access to the repository becomes unauthorized. Error message:

    Error: ImagePullBackOff "<image name>". Access repository: <repository name>, action: pull: unauthorized to access repository: <repository name>
