Resolution
- Customers must use Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.5 or later to use any of this hardware: 'Broadcom® 57711 10GbE NIC', 'PERC H700 Adapter (Internal RAID Controller)' or 'PERC H800 RAID Adapter for External JBOD'.
- Customers using the 32-bit (x86) version of Red Hat Enterprise Linux on systems which use the AMD Opteron 6000-series processor (code-named "Magny-Cours") and AMD Opteron 4100 series (code-named "Lisbon") should be aware that kernel-2.6.18-194.el5 will panic on boot on these platforms. In order to resolve, kernel-2.6.18-194.3.1.el5 or later must be used on these systems. For further details, please refer to the following knowledge base articles:
