PVC in Pending state after install of UPI vSphere OCP 4

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • OCP UPI vSphere with cluster-wide proxy installation all created PVC's with default StorageClass in Pending status.
  • ProvisioningFailed error on any created PVC's with thin StorageClass with cluster-wide proxy configured.
  • Describe of created PVC displays the following exception under Events.

    $oc describe pvc pvc-1
