Diagnostic Steps
- As of NVIDIA driver version 470.52.02, NVIDIA has enabled support for xwayland
- As of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9, Red Hat has made Wayland the default for most users of the NVIDIA driver. The follow are exceptions:
- Users of certain hybrid graphics configurations on laptops.
- Grid computing users.
- Red Hat will default additional configurations to Wayland over time as new driver functionality allows.
