RHEV: Not able to start Virtual Machine (NullPointerException)

Issue

When attempting to run a VM, the RHEV-M immediately reports:

Failed to run VM <VM NAME> on Host <HOST NAME>.

in the event log, where <VM NAME> is the name of the guest VM, and <HOST NAME> is the name of the host.
