Issue

In an environment with mixed IdM clients and AD-joined SSSD clients, behaviour of Dynamic DNS update is inconsistent.

  • IdM clients do not send dynamic DNS update.
  • AD-joined SSSD clients send dynamic DNS update.
  • dyndns_update is not set.

  • Red Hat Identity Management (IdM) / FreeIPA
