[RHEL 9 Beta] Why does selinux prevents the vnc service to gets start?

Issue

  • In RHEL 9 Beta, the vncserver@:x.service gets fail to start with below logs for root user.

    Process: 27994 ExecStart=/usr/libexec/vncsession-start :1 (code=exited, status=0/SUCCESS)
        CPU: 10ms

systemd[1]: vncserver@:1.service: Deactivated successfully.
systemd[1]: Stopped Remote desktop service (VNC).
systemd[1]: Starting Remote desktop service (VNC)...
systemd[1]: vncserver@:1.service: Can't open PID file /run/vncsession-:1.pid (yet?) after start: Operation not permitted
systemd[1]: vncserver@:1.service: Failed with result 'protocol'.
systemd[1]: Failed to start Remote desktop service (VNC).
