Does "corosync" need a shutdown script?

Solution Unverified - Updated -

Issue

  • Does corosync needs to be shutdown before the machine reboots ?
  • The /etc/init.d/corosync stop just kills the process. Is there a reason why corosync-cfgtool -H is not being used ?
  • What does corosync-cfgtool -H actually do ? '-H' cleanly shuts down 'Corosync'. But what does it actually do ?
  • Why does the shutdown script not use '-H' ?
  • The symlink /etc/rc3.d/K80corosync, how does this get created ? Looks like the 'Corosync' rpm does not own this symlink.
