/var is full and yum clean not working to clean up space

Issue

• The /var filesystem is at 100% - For example: it is 8 Gib in size, 7.8 Gib of it is in /var/cache/yum.
• I have tried to run yum clean dbcache and yum clean metadata, but the last one has been running for over 18 hours and I see nothing removed.
• I executed yum clean all successfully, but the /var/cache/yum still show the same disk usage on cache files.
