RHV SSO authentication fails with "An unsupported mechanism was requested (Unknown error)"

Issue

  • LDAP and Kerberos have been configured in RHV for Single Sign On according to the documentation.
  • Authentication fails with an error like this:
GSS ERROR In Negotiate Auth: gss_accept_sec_context() failed: [An unsupported mechanism was requested (Unknown error)]

Environment

  • Red Hat Virtualization (RHV) 4.4
  • Red Hat Virtualization Manager (RHV-M) 4.4
  • Microsoft Active Directory backend
  • Authentication provider using Kerberos and LDAP
