Adding an LDAP group to a JBoss ON role will not link existing LDAP group members until the next time those users login

Issue

  • Unable to see dashboard when assigning super user role to the groups/user in LDAP
  • Once LDAP group is added to role, all the existing users who are members of the LDAP group should have access to the resources
  • Role is not getting assigned to existing LDAP users when the LDAP group those users belong to gets assigned to the role

Environment

  • JBoss Operations Network (ON) 2.4.1, 2.4.2, 3.0, 3.0.1, 3.1, 3.1.1, 3.1.2
  • LDAP authorization
  • Existing LDAP users displayed on the roles administration page belong to an LDAP group that has just been assigned to a new JBoss ON role.
  • Existing LDAP user detail page does not reflect the new role
