  • ipmitool is crashing on sol or dcmi commands, leaving logs messages similar to the following:

    Oct  4 08:06:34 host.example.com kernel: ipmitool[12345]: segfault at 55c5bf36d000 ip 00007f783fbc5bf2 sp 00007fff07bfdf48 error 4 in libc-2.17.so[7f783fa6a000+1c4000]

  • ipmitool-1.8.18-17.el8 or earlier
  • ipmitool-1.8.18-9.el7_7 or earlier
