Now available - Red Hat build of OpenJDK 17
We are pleased to announce the GA release of the Red Hat build of OpenJDK 17. The Red Hat build of OpenJDK is a free and open source implementation of the Java Platform, Standard Edition (Java SE).
What's new in the Red Hat build of OpenJDK 17:
The release of the Red Hat build of OpenJDK 17 brings a new stream for the Long Term Support OpenJDK versions. It will join OpenJDK 8 and OpenJDK 11 which unique feature is the longer lifecycle they have.
This particular version, the 17, includes a number of new and updated features to help organizations to continue running their business and also bring new capabilities to, including:
Context-specific deserialization filters
Edwards-Curve Digital Signature Algorithm (EdDSA)
File mapping modes
Foreign-Memory Access API (Incubator feature)
Foreign Function and Memory API (Incubator feature)
Hidden classes
HotSpot class-metadata memory

JDK Flight Recorder (JFR) data
jpackage tool
Pattern matching for the instanceof operator

Sealed classes
