Getting "Failure while testing domain, Kerberos error" while integrating Active Directory with RHEV

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • I need to know following:
1] Please confirm that we can no add any local user to RHEV Manager other then default 'admin' local user.
2] While adding RHEV Manager to AD, getting following error:
Error: exception message: Connection refused
Failure while testing domain example.com. Details: Kerberos error. Please check log for further details.
  • We need o create user 'rhevadmin' with following characteristics:
1] Add an unlimited number of virtual machines to the domain.
    2] Query Active Directory.
3] Please ensure the RHEV user has UPN notation enabled such that their username in AD is in "rhevadmin@example.com" notation, unlike the normal "example.com\rhevadmin" that is commonly used in Active Directory environments.

  • Is there any other prerequisite?

  • Also after after AD integration my local 'admin' account will work or no?
  • Do i need to configure anything for kerberos at RHEV Manager ?

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization 3.2
