ES pod restarting with since more than one write index exists in RHOCP 4

Issue

  • ElasticSearch pods restarts and go into CrashLoopBackOff state with the error:

    java.lang.IllegalStateException: alias [app-write] has more than one write index [app-000450,app-000415]
        at org.elasticsearch.cluster.metadata.AliasOrIndex$Alias.computeAndValidateWriteIndex(AliasOrIndex.java:173) ~[elasticsearch-6.8.1.redhat-00007.jar:6.8.1.redhat-00007]
        at org.elasticsearch.cluster.metadata.MetaData$Builder.lambda$buildAliasAndIndexLookup$1(MetaData.java:1158) ~[elasticsearch-6.8.1.redhat-00007.jar:6.8.1.redhat-00007]
