Why do passwords with multiple $$ get truncated on JBoss EAP 6 EJB clients?

Issue

• Having problem with setting password which contains consecutive dollar signs in a remote EJB client.

• With a debugging tool, it is found that the method PropertiesBasedEJBClientConfiguration is converting two consecutive dollar signs to single dollar sign. For example, $$pass$$$word$$$$ changes to $pass$$word$$. The code is like below :
