Permission Denied error when accessing directories in CIFS

While trying to access certain directories of a samba share , get the permission denied error.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.7
  • samba-client-3.0.33-3.29.el5_6.2.x86_64
  • EMC Celerra VG8 with Dart 6.0.43 NAS
