How do I configure httpd to setup a webpage for a single user (e.g. http://www.example.com/~jonc)?

The Apache webserver can be configured to serve web pages of users on a system. The example below shows how to configure Apache to serve web pages from within a static location within the users home directory.

To enable user pages on your web server, make the following changes to your /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf file:
