Unable to use OpenShift Oauth route through a reverse proxy

Solution Unverified - Updated -

Issue

  • Nginix hosted reverse proxy, all traffic routed to Load Balancer, local access is available but traffic through the reverse proxy will fail if it involves an Oauth request.
  • Oauth behind the reverse proxy, able to expose the console and apps with it but whenever a redirect is made to the Oauth a 503 response is returned.

Environment

  • Secured environment
  • OCP4.7+
  • Nginx reverse proxy channeling traffic through Load Balancer
