When using VMware Player with Kernel 2.6.32-431 the system hangs and crashes
Issue

With the kernel version 2.6.32-431 the VM hangs on boot and eventually restarts. In order to avoid this the kernel was downgraded. System logs do not have any information on the cause.

After RHEL 6.5 kernel update the VMware player 6.0.1 host crashes after a user logs into Windows VM.
- It works fine with kernel-2.6.32-358.14.1.el6.x86_64 but not with 2.6.32-431.3.1 or 2.6.32-431.5.1.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
- kernel-2.6.32-431.el6 or later
- VMware Player 6
- VMware Worskstation 10
