Pods stuck in "ContainerCreating" with "x509: certificate signed by unknown authority" error

Issue

  • After redeploying the Certificate Authority (CA) and certificates using the Redeploying Certificates playbooks, Pods are stuck in ContainerCreating showing the following error message:

    NetworkPlugin cni failed to set up pod "example" network: CNI request failed with status 400: 'Get https://internal-example.example.com:8443/api/v1/namespaces/example/pods/prod-example-0: x509: certificate signed by unknown authority
