ovirt-ha-broker and agent enter in a restart loop when the host enters maintenance mode and is using a block-based storage domain

Issue

  • When a host is put into maintenance mode and hosted_storage is on a block-based storage domain, the ovirt-ha-broker and agent services enter in a restart loop.
  • Email notifications are sent to the administrator every few minutes about these restarts.
  • ovirt-ha-broker fails to update the metadata in the storage with an error: FileNotFoundError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/run/vdsm/storage/...
