Overcloud deployment or update fails with: "the container name is already in use"

Issue

  • During a overcloud deployment or update, the update fails with the following error:
Writing manifest to image destination\nStoring signatures\n\nError: error creating container storage: the container name \"ovn_controller\" is already in use by \"<container-id>\". You have to remove that container to be able to reuse that name.: that name is already in use
