The AJP protocol automatically sets the proxyName and proxyPort but the HTTP protocol does not.

Solution Unverified - Updated -

Issue

  • The AJP protocol sets the proxyName and proxyPort automatically to the correct values which is not done with the HTTP protocol.  Depending on the environment the HTTP protocol with mod_proxy my present redirection problems if the proxyName and proxyPort are not specifically set.

Environment

  • JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (EAP)
    • 4
    • 5
  • mod_proxy
