Issue

  • We're unable to expand our Elasticsearch/Kibana disk
  • Events shows:
$ oc describe pod <pod-name>
...

  Warning  VolumeResizeFailed  56m (x21 over 111m)  volume_expand  error expanding volume "openshift-logging/elasticsearch-elasticsearch-cdm-ofyiu4cg-1" of plugin "kubernetes.io/cinder": PVC used by a Pod can not be expanded, please ensure the PVC is not used by any Pod and is fully detached from a node
  Warning  VolumeResizeFailed  13m (x20 over 51m)   volume_expand  error expanding volume "openshift-logging/elasticsearch-elasticsearch-cdm-ofyiu4cg-1" of plugin "kubernetes.io/cinder": PVC used by a Pod can not be expanded, please ensure the PVC is not used by any Pod and is fully detached from a node
