  • New RHEL CoreOS nodes configured with static IP addresses, LUKS, and NBDE fail to boot after installation/provisioning due to network issues

Environment

  • OpenShift Container Platform 4.7
  • RHEL CoreOS (RHCOS) nodes
  • static networking configuration (no DHCP)
  • Tang disk encryption is enabled (LUKS + NBDE)
