serial console output has strange characters in RHEL 6.1 anaconda

Issue

  • virsh console output is broken for anaconda

  • When using the serial console to install a RHEL 6.1 system with anaconda, strange characters are displayed and the screen does not show the content we expect.  An example:

    Welcome to Red Hat Enterprise Linux for x86_64
