Repetitive "Failed to update OVF disks" warnings in the Event Log in the RHV Admin Portal

Issue

  • The following OVF update failure is reported repetitively in the Event Log;
Failed to update OVF disks 6dd1857e-7cb6-44c0-846f-a8be3932e4b9, OVF data isn't updated on those OVF stores (Data Center DC-X, Storage Domain SD-Y).

  • An UploadStreamCommand operation failed in the engine logs with ACTION_TYPE_FAILED_VDS_STATUS_ILLEGAL.

  • On the SPM host, the vdsm logs showed an uncaptured python exception.

  • Red Hat Virtualization (RHV) 4.4
  • Cluster in 4.3 compatibility mode
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) hosts 7.8
