JBoss WS server side closes client connections too quickly in JBoss EAP

Issue

• We have a web service which is high volume.
• Many clients (non-JBoss) connect to and send repeated transactions to the web service, but we are seeing JBoss closing those connections very quickly (they stay alive around 20 seconds; less if there are more clients).
• We would like the connections to stay alive up to 1 hour for performance reasons.
• What parameters can we change to modify the duration that the client connections stay open?
