Network bond port issue

Issue

  • During activity on the external switch connected to all OpenStack servers, an issue on host network port was identified.
  • The port was part of an Source Load Balancing (SLB) bond.
  • The status was up but the Speed and Duplex were "Unknown", therefore some of the network traffic managed from this bond was lost.

Environment

  • OpenStack (RHOSP) 13.
  • Ports configured with bond.
  • Using Source Load Balancing (SLB) as balancing mode.
  • Ethernet Channel Bonding Driver: v3.7.1 (April 27, 2011).
