ls command intermittently shows question marks on kerberized NFS share

Issue

  • NFS server: exports the shares with sec=krb5p
/base/share1   *(rw,sync,sec=krb5p) 
/base/share2   *(rw,sync,sec=krb5p) 
  • NFS client: set below in file /etc/auto.misc
base           -fstype=nfs,rw,soft,nfsvers=4.2  NFS-server:/base
share1         -fstype=nfs,rw,soft,nfsvers=4.2  NFS-server:/base/share1
share2         -fstype=nfs,rw,soft,nfsvers=4.2  NFS-server:/base/share2
  • ls command intermittently shows question marks on kerberized NFS share
# ls -la /misc/base
???????????  ? ?    ?                             ?            ?  share1
???????????  ? ?    ?                             ?            ?  share2
