Smbclient Command Fails With NT_STATUS_IO_TIMEOUT Error

Running the
smbclientcommand results in this failure:$ sudo smbclient -L //SMBSERVER do_connect: Connection to SMBSERVER failed (Error NT_STATUS_IO_TIMEOUT) - The same command works on a RHEL 6 machine using the 3.6 version of
smbclient.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7.5 running samba-client-4.9.1-10.el7_7.x86_64.
(But likely applicable to other RHEL 7 minor and samba-client package versions.)
