Can not add a new worker node due to ignition config timeout in OCP 4

Issue

  • How to increase timeout for fetching ignition config of worker in Openshift 4.
  • Can not add a new or a replacement worker node in OpenShift 4.
  • A curl of the worker ignition config takes over 10 seconds.
  • Node shows the following error during initial boot:

    ignition[929]: GET error: Get https://api-int.<domain>:22623/config/worker: net/http: timeout awaiting response headers
