How to reset the default view in JPP 6.1?

Issue

• We have portlets with multiple views, eg. a lookup portlet which has an input form, as well as results and details views. When users start a search and are presented with the results view, and then navigate around the website and return to the page, they are presented with the screen they have left instead of the form/first screen of the portlet.

How can we show the first screen in the portlet application, every time they come to the page by clicking on the navigation?
